Update: May 27, 2020

The Ontario government has recently extended its state of emergency until June 9, 2020 and we expect this date to be extended further despite the easing of restrictions in the province. In a recent update the government also shared that Ontario’s public schools will not re-open until September.
Bearing in mind the health and safety of our students and staff, we will continue with remote learning until September 8th, 2020. This means that our classes will continue to be taught remotely while our campuses remain closed for all students.

As you may be aware, many businesses, services and retail stores have opened in Ontario and may continue to do so as restrictions are lifted. Though, we have not had any recent updates about the direction from the Ministry of Colleges and Universities (MCU) about opening up our campuses, we are closely monitoring government updates for any changes that may occur.

We are however continuing to build a phased Return to School Plan that will gradually return our students back to the campus after September 8th. This plan will also include measures to limit the number of staff, students, and clients on campus at any given time, allow for physical distancing in our classrooms, provide appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and a screening for everyone entering the campus.

The health and safety of our students and staff remains our top priority and until any changes are announced, we will continue to safely enroll new students for upcoming starts by phone and all new programs have started with remote learning delivery. Feedback and additional information about remote learning delivery can be found here

Update: April 29, 2020

We are continuously monitoring the developments related to COVID-19 to ensure that we are adhering to the recommendations of the ministry and discussing with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU) how we can continue remote learning with an extended date so students can plan further into the year.

As such, triOS college has made the decision to extend remote learning until June 5, 2020. We expect to continue this way until the government issues a return to school plan and we are safe to do so. This means that our classes will continue to be taught remotely while our campuses remain closed for all students.

The college has already begun working on a Return to School Plan. The health and safety of our students and staff remains our top priority and we will be preparing our campuses to make sure they meet all the health and safety standards as prescribed by the government to ensure our students and staff feel safe when coming into the campus to complete their education.

Until any changes are announced, we will continue to safely enroll new students for upcoming starts by phone and all new programs have started with remote learning delivery.

Update: April 1, 2020

As many of you know, our premier has extended the state of emergency for Ontario to April 13, 2020. There is a possibility this may be extended further based on the advice of the Chief Medical Officer of Health. In addition, the premier announced that our public schools will be closed until May 1st.

We have received agreement from the Ministry of Colleges and Universities to continue remote education delivery until May 1, 2020.

This means our classes will continue to be taught remotely while our campuses remain closed for all students in accordance with public safety precautions. We will also continue to enroll students for spring and fall programs safely over the phone.

We are closely monitoring the situation and will continue to provide updates.

We thank everyone for their continued patience and cooperation, and as always, urge everyone to continue to take precautions, practice social distancing, and stay healthy and safe.

Update: March 22, 2020

COVID-19 Update – triOS College implements remote education delivery

Further to our March 13th announcement, I would like to share an update on our response to the COVID-19 situation. We took the unprecedented step of quickly closing our campuses to students and staff on March 13th in response to rapidly developing threats posed by COVID-19 and began preparing for remote education delivery. The triOS team has been working diligently to prepare our students and staff to continue their learning through remote education delivery.

Our priority is ensuring our students can continue their studies from home where they are safe from exposure to the virus by adhering to physical distancing protocols. We also understand that students want to continue with their education and prepare for their new careers.

All triOS classes will be delivered through remote education delivery. Specific program and course details will be communicated to students via our Student Web, triOS Student Emails, and contact from your Instructors.

Thank you to all of our students for their understanding, cooperation, and commitment to adjust as we go through this time together. I would also like to thank everyone on our triOS College team for their dedication and readiness in dealing with these uncertain times and maintaining our students’ continued education at the forefront of their efforts.

On behalf of our entire College, I wish our students continued success in their studies and look forward to seeing them graduate into new careers.

Update: March 13, 2020

triOS College closing campuses and transitioning to remote learning delivery as a precaution against COVID-19

Mississauga, ON – as the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak continues to spread and public health measures are being implemented throughout the province, our team has been working to address the health and safety concerns of our community while ensuring the continuity of learning wherever feasible.

As a result, triOS College Business Technology Healthcare is temporarily closing campuses across Ontario from March 16, 2020 to April 3, 2020, and classes will be facilitated through remote learning delivery for programs where possible. In order to prepare for remote learning delivery and to ensure the continuity of learning for our students, we will also be cancelling classes on March 16, 2020 so that instructors and administration can continue to prepare for remote learning delivery. Remote learning delivery classes will begin on Tuesday March 17, 2020.

The health and well-being of students and faculty is paramount as we continue to navigate the developing situation relating to COVID-19. triOS is communicating these adjustments to all students and will be providing support to faculty to assist in the transition.

“Our priority at this time is the health and safety of our students, faculty, and our community. We are grateful for their patience and understanding during these rapidly changing times,” said Stuart Bentley, President, triOS College Business Technology Healthcare. “triOS will continue our unwavering efforts to transition our programs to remote learning so our students can continue their education.”

triOS continues to urge students and faculty to take all necessary precautions during these uncertain times. If you or anyone you know starts having symptoms of COVID-19, isolate yourself from others as quickly as possible. Immediately call a health care professional or the public health authority in the province or territory where you are located. Describe your symptoms and travel history. The Canadian Public Health Agency will provide advice on what you should do.
