I began the police foundations and security course in September of 2023, the entirety of the course was a fantastic learning experience. I had a very open minded and knowledgeable teacher who truly pushed us to become better people. I wouldn’t be where I am had I not taken this program, I went into this thinking I wanted to become a police officer. Although that’s what I thought I wanted out of this I had an underlying passion for animals and changed gears to become an animal services officer instead. I worked hard and it paid off, I graduated with distinction and got my dream job in the end, an animal services officer position opened at my local humane society! Due to my schooling background and my eagerness to learn and grow the team hired me quickly. If you ever think that you’re too old to go back to school, to pursue any dreams, push yourself out of that comfort zone you’re in because if you don’t you’ll live with the regret. I’m so grateful for everyone at triOS who helped me to excel and get to be where I am today.

I typically don’t get such amazing help when it comes to any kind of schooling or education- however Arlene Sebastian made the entire process SO easy and comfortable for me. An absolutely incredible asset that Trios College has on their team, and I sincerely hope she gets the credit she deserves from management! Program: *** PARALEGAL STUDIES *** Start: September 2024 This is a comprehensive, initial review, written in my 2nd month of studies. I will revise this review once I have completed my studies. << Program >> - This legal diploma program is a compressed 14-month program. Once you are done, you can work as a legal assistant or as an advocate. - It is accredited by the LSO - It has 12 months of classes, Monday to Friday 9am to 1 pm. - It has a co-op for the last two months or so - You will be finishing one class every 1-2 weeks, so you need excellent time management skills to survive. Expect to work less, and/or sleep less, and/or have fun less - or suffer. - Every class has multiple assignments, mid-term exams, final exams, and group work. - You are provided with e-textbooks and online learning portals to study from. Office 365 is also provided to you along with a student email account. << Campus >> - The facility is functional and modern, and is staffed throughout the day. - The legal classes are computer labs that revolve around the use of technology. You can use these computers to do all of your work. - There is a mid-size cafeteria with seating and vending machines (coffee and snacks). - There are accessible washrooms, and the building is also accessible with 2 elevators. - It is located downtown Kitchener, is transportation accessible, and there is 2-hour street parking and a parking garage nearby. - Within 100 meters of the campus you can find places to grab a quick bite (pizza, Vietnamese subs, Vietnamese soup) << Preparation >> - Reading and comprehension: non-fiction books, or “dry readings”, are recommended. - Report-writing: focus on learning how to write, because memos, emails, claims, and factums are a daily part of this profession. - Technology: focus on learning Windows OS and Microsoft Office - Social skills and emotional intelligence; in this profession, you will be dealing with clients, co-workers, bosses, lawyers, judges, courts, and regulatory bodies, so make sure that you have the interpersonal skills to effectively interact with people. - Humility and appreciation; entering this field is a privilege and should be treated as such. - Time management skills, because this program is compressed, and also because in this profession you get cited and disciplined (and can even lose your license) if you miss an important deadline. - Explore the profession: interview working professionals, research the profession, and attend court as an observer and see how things work - Obtain relevant experience: work in related fields (admin, clerical, case management, etc.) so that you know what you are getting into and whether it is right for you. - Explore other options: If you have your heart set on BECOMING A LAWYER or law clerk, then this is not for you. Make sure you understand the differences between these careers. - Purge preconceived notions: This is not like in the movies - which are mostly based on lawyers in the US judiciary, acting out sensational cases. Reality is far more mundane, and you won't be in the limelight. << Admissions and Financial Aid >> - This was an easy process, and Nashina and Sonali were efficient, professional, and responsive. From inquiry to registration, it took a few weeks with minimal effort. << Faculty >> - The instructors are all experienced paralegals and lawyers, and they are excellent. They are genuinely invested in our success. - A special thank you to John-Paul, Justin, Susan, and Whitney for rendering the experience a positive one so far. << Management >> - The Campus Director, Lori, runs a tight ship, and yet will take the time to step in immediately to address concerns to the benefit of the students. - The administrators, Jinu, Marianne, and Rebecca, are kind and professional, and are there throughout the day to help.

Went for the first time for a massage…and my God I cannot say enough positive things about this place. My restless leg is now the good leg after I walked away. I still can’t thank you guys for what you do. Magic hands thank you so much 🙏🏻 I will definitely be a promotional for you guys, and I will definitely be back for more massages With somebody who lives with chronic pain everyday you give me hope

triOS College is a really good college the program choice is amazing and the staff at triOS college are amazing and very supportive and helpful!!!

The student massage therapists are great and the price ($30 for 1 hour) can't be beat. You can book up to 5 appointments in advance but appointments have gotten a lot easier to get lately as more students are working on getting their hours

I had a great time at triOS college. I learned a lot of things and the faculty and staff are awesome. Thank you triOS!

Before even graduation, I was directed to one career support Lisa, who helped me with my resume. She and I chatted for over an hour, it was an easy conversation and she helped me understand how to write a simple but effective resume, unfortunately, she was relocated to another campus. HOWEVER, I was coming to the end of my course when I was introduced to a new career guidance support Jennifer, and she was just as awesome!! She not only answered my random and sometimes silly questions, but she also supported me after graduation through my interviewing and helped me with follow-up emails and responding to best practices. She was full of excellent advice and again was also very easy to chat with. I have to say that the career support from this college is outstanding!! Something that most colleges don't offer. I have said it once and I will say it again, thank you!!! For the support and guidance and education that has helped me take a step into this new journey. :)

triOS is really amazing place for me.I graduated with Supply Chain& Logistics Diploma with Internships and CIFFA certificate. Teachers are very helpful and professional.Right now I have got a job in a 44 years company with satisfied pay, and the knowledge I got from triOS did a lot for me in getting this position. Anyway, as a successful graduate, I highly recommend triOS.

I am taking IT program at trios college Kitchener campus they have two IT teachers one teaches the beginners end and the other one (Jason E) who teaches the advanced end of IT he is the best teacher ever but biggest problem is they deliver so much material that cant be properly practiced in given time frame

Although it was a positive experience there are things I believe need improvement. I took the MOA program. I felt the spent more time teaching administration ie. Accounting, word, PowerPoint etc and not enough time on scheduling, and actual medical procedures. Many places hiring want terminology certificates which would definitely help when looking for work. I was not successful in finding work in the medical office field however, I am currently training as a HSW. Therefore some of what I learned I have benefitted from. The instructors are awesome aside from one particular instructor who does accounting and office. The instructor who is responsible for teaching the medical side of the course is awesome.

I've only been in school for three weeks but my Instructor/Teacher Steven Coverdale has made my experience amazing and and all around enjoyable to be in class! There is a very few people that can actually ingage a class and not have them complain and or want to leave. It has been one of my best experiences in a school atmosphere have him as my Instructor/Teacher and I think all my classmates would agree with me!

Two months into my program and I am really enjoying it! All staff and instructors are really great and happy to help. Remote learning is different but you'll get used to it!

I recently finished my two years program as an IT professional at triOS Kitchener campus. Jason Eckert is the best instructor you can ever have. His teaching skill is phenomenal. Leslie Huys was my employment specialist and she is super nice and love to help me without hesitation, whenever I asked her for help. Also special thanks to Margaret Millner, for being super nice. I can't thank you enough. I made the right decision by choosing triOS Kitchener campus and I strongly recommend anyone looking for best college the region.
