    About The Program

    The Business Administration and Management (BAM) Diploma at triOS College is built for individuals ready to grow into leadership roles and navigate the demands of today’s evolving business landscape. With half-day classes offered just four days per week, the program offers the flexibility needed to keep working, support family, or focus on personal goals, without delaying your education.

    Students gain a well-rounded education in core business principles such as management, marketing, human resources, and business law, while also developing the digital skills modern employers expect. Training on widely used tools like Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and Sage 50 prepares graduates to hit the ground running in a variety of business settings.

    Beyond technical knowledge, the program emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and communication. Through lessons in team dynamics, customer service, and workplace diversity, students build the interpersonal skills needed to lead with confidence and adapt in a range of professional environments.

    Program Details

    At triOS College, we know that turning a good idea into real results takes more than ambition: it takes the right skills, strategy, and mindset. The 49-week Business Administration and Management (BAM) Diploma provides the foundation needed to launch or advance a career in business with purpose and confidence.

    Students start by developing key workplace skills in communication, career planning, and digital literacy. As the program moves forward, they explore topics like project coordination, organizational behaviour, and leadership strategies, giving them the tools to manage operations, support teams, and lead change.

    Courses in digital business, branding, and marketing strategy provide a modern perspective on engaging customers and driving growth. With a focus on innovation and entrepreneurial thinking, students are encouraged to apply what they learn in practical, results-driven ways—whether that means stepping into a leadership role or starting a business from the ground up.

    Additional training in human resources, employment law, and financial operations helps students understand how to manage people, processes, and budgets. Hands-on experience with accounting software and digital tools further ensures they graduate ready to meet industry demands.

    The program concludes with an 8-week internship, giving students a chance to apply their knowledge in a real-world environment, make industry connections, and gain experience that can’t be taught in a classroom. Career services like resume coaching, LinkedIn optimization, and job search support are available throughout the program to help students transition into the workforce with confidence.

    This course introduces basic accounting concepts and procedures. This course addresses double-entry accounting, analysis of source information, classes of transactions, and the accounting cycle. Using these critical concepts, accounting skills are applied and integrated to record transactions using proper procedures and forms in both a manual and computerized accounting system, QuickBooks.

    This course continues the exploration of accounting procedures in payroll, petty cash, and bank reconciliations. Central to this course is the merchandising firm and its accounting cycle, appropriate valuation of inventory, and cost of goods sold calculations. This material will be applied in both a manual and computerized accounting system, Sage 50.

    This course provides a solid foundation in the strategic, tactical, and creative essentials of digital marketing. You will be introduced to many core concepts related to marketing communications and learn the fundamentals of digital marketing, including how it is different from traditional marketing. This course includes budgeting and its considerations. You will also have the opportunity to create a brand style guide and an analytics dashboard.

    This course is designed to provide a basic understanding of communication skills in business environments. Focus will be placed on both written and spoken communications. You will review the basic writing process with emphasis on the mechanics of writing.     This course provides a study of the Canadian legal system and its effect on business and business organizations. Topics include business law, contracts and sales, torts, consumer protection issues, employment issues, the regulation of business organizations, finance, and debtor and creditor law. On completion, you will know about the various important areas of law impacting business and be able to apply the same in day-to-day decisions.

    In this course, you will learn the fundamentals of how a strong relationship with clients is developed and maintained. Professionalism, the importance of living up to obligations, and the various forms of prompt and attentive communication are discussed. The course will also provide you with the skills you need to articulate organization image and how to identify and adapt to specific client behavior styles and how to measure and take corrective actions to provide client satisfaction and ensure positive relations. The course also introduces practical techniques needed to deal with clients that are angry and upset and explains the significance of maintaining and encouraging the loyalty of clients.

    This module builds on concepts and skills introduced in the Career Planning and Preparation Level 1 module. In this subsequent module, you will update and refine your résumé and LinkedIn Profile. You will continue writing cover letters and learn the value of customizing cover letters to specific job postings. You will have the opportunity to apply this knowledge as you conduct a job search and write a cover letter tailored to an ideal job post. Through research, you will create a list of top employers and target current industry opportunities. You will learn about current methods for applying to job postings using technology. You will also gain an understanding of the job interview process, typical interview questions and possible responses, and expectations of both the interviewer and interviewee. In addition, you will engage in practical application of the interview process through role-play. Topics such as negotiating salary, self-management, and on-the-job success for placements and post-graduate employment will be also covered.

    1. Student has an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, OR
    Is 18 years of age or older on or before the program begins AND can pass a qualifying test that has been approved by the
    Superintendent. *

    2. The approved qualifying test for this program is the Wonderlic test. A passing score for this program is 16.

    *Applicants from other Canadian provinces must be at least 19 years of age and a minimum of 1 year out of high school by the
    program start date and successfully pass an academic achievement test.
