Intro to X (formerly Twitter)
Learn how to follow, post, and connect in the world of real-time conversations.
About the workshop
This workshop is about exploring X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. Even though it has a new name and a new look, it is still one of the most popular places to follow breaking news, public figures, and conversations happening around the world.
For many people, X is a way to stay updated on current events, connect with interests and hobbies, and share short posts of their own. But if you are new to it, it can feel a little confusing — with features like hashtags, reposts, and trending topics. That is why we are here: to make it simple, approachable, and practical.
Over the next two hours, we will learn how to:
- Search for news, topics, and accounts you care about
- Follow and unfollow people, groups, or organizations
- Write and share your own posts, with photos and hashtags
- Stay safe by managing your privacy settings and avoiding scams or misinformation
This is a hands-on, beginner-friendly session. You will see demonstrations, have the chance to practice, and ask as many questions as you would like. By the end, you will understand how X works and feel more confident exploring it for yourself.
Workshop Price: $50
