Toronto, ON; triOS College, part of the triOS Education Group, is proud to introduce the new Community Services and Mental Health Worker (CSMHW) program, designed to meet the growing demand for trained professionals who can support individuals facing mental health and addictions challenges. Delivered through remote online learning, this comprehensive 76-week diploma program combines all the core training of the Community Services Worker diploma with additional in-depth courses in mental health, addictions, and crisis intervention.

Students enrolled in CSMHW will complete advanced courses such as Introduction to Mental Health and Addictions, Special Considerations in Mental Health and Addictions Work, Crisis Intervention, Treatment Modalities, and Assessment and Program Planning.

They will also gain access to specialized certifications and high-value credentials, including:

  • Mental Health First Aid (St. John’s Ambulance)

  • Suicide Prevention, Risk Assessment & Management (SPRAM, Alberta Health Services)
  • At the Intersection: Building awareness and capacity to support people experiencing intersectional stigma (Canadian Public Health Association, Centre4Sexuality)

This longer program ensures graduates are prepared with the practical skills and credentials needed to provide compassionate, informed care in diverse community and mental health settings.

The Community Services Worker (CSW) program, offered in a 54-week format, has also been enhanced to better serve students entering the field. This program continues to deliver foundational training in counselling, addictions, criminology, psychology, sociology, and community services in Canada, while now incorporating updated certifications, including:

Both programs include a hands-on internship component, giving students direct experience in community-based work environments before graduation.
