    About the workshop

This workshop is designed especially for older adults who want to feel more confident and comfortable using computers, tablets, and other digital devices. Whether you are brand new or have just a little experience, you are in the right place.

In this four-hour workshop, we will explore the basics of how computers and tablets work, how to safely use the internet, and how to get started with email, apps, and browsing online. We will also talk about how to choose the right device if you are thinking about buying a new computer or tablet.

This session will be hands-on and practical. You will not just hear about these tools — you will get to try them yourself, step by step, with plenty of time for questions. By the end of our time together, you will walk away with:

    • Confidence turning on and navigating a computer or tablet
    • The ability to search the internet for information that matters to you
    • Skills to send and receive emails safely
    • An understanding of how to take and share photos on an iPad
    • A simple checklist of what to look for when choosing a new device

Most importantly, this workshop is about making technology useful and enjoyable in your daily life — whether that means keeping in touch with loved ones, exploring hobbies, shopping online, or simply staying informed.
