BoomerHub

Your hub for confidence, connection, and technology.

Who We Are

BoomerHub is a warm, welcoming place where people 55+ can learn, connect, and thrive.
We believe aging is something to be celebrated—not feared—and that every stage of life brings new chances to grow, explore, and build meaningful connections.

At BoomerHub, we bring together confidence, connection, and technology to help older adults stay engaged and independent. Whether you want to learn something new, meet new people, or discover ways to make life easier in a digital world, BoomerHub is your place to do it.

Our mission is simple: to create programs, workshops, and experiences that make life richer and more connected. From friendly social gatherings and lifelong learning opportunities to hands-on technology support, we help you build digital confidence and stay connected in today’s world.

BoomerHub is powered by triOS College, CARP, and Zoomer Media—a partnership that combines education, advocacy, and storytelling to reimagine aging nationwide.

  • triOS College brings expertise in lifelong learning and technology.
  • CARP amplifies the voices of older Canadians through strong advocacy.
  • Zoomer Media celebrates aging through storytelling and connection.

We work with local partners and older adults themselves to design programs that reflect your interests, your voice, and your goals. We are more than a drop-in centre—we are a movement to redefine what aging looks like in Canada.

Our Purpose

At BoomerHub, our purpose is to empower older adults through technology, learning, and connection. We believe that digital confidence opens doors—to information, to community, and to independence.

To bring this vision to life, BoomerHub offers afternoon and evening workshops designed specifically for older adults. These sessions focus on practical, approachable skills such as introductions to social media platforms, online privacy and security, computer basics, and much more. Through these workshops, participants gain not only digital skills but also the confidence and independence to navigate technology with ease.

Our approach to tech enablement goes beyond training—it’s about creating a welcoming, hands-on learning environment that encourages curiosity, builds lifelong learning habits, and strengthens connections to family, friends, and community.

Come Prepared

To make the most of your BoomerHub workshop experience, we encourage all participants to bring their own device — whether that’s a smartphone, tablet, or laptop. Working on your own technology helps you learn in a familiar environment and apply new skills right away.

You are welcome to arrive at the workshop 30 minutes before the start time. Our tech support team will be available to help get you set up. They will also be on hand throughout the workshop to assist with any questions or issues.

If you don’t have a device, don’t worry — our team will be on-site to help and can provide guidance during the session.

To get the most out of your workshop:

  • Bring your fully charged device (and a charger if needed)
  • Know your passwords and logins for any accounts you want to use
  • Update your apps or software beforehand, if possible
  • Bring a notebook and pen if you like to take notes

Our goal is to make sure you feel comfortable, confident, and supported every step of the way.
