triOS College Business Technology Healthcare and the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) have signed a memorandum of agreement that will offer adult learners attending TDSB high schools new opportunities to continue their post-secondary education. The agreement will be highly beneficial for all students, including newcomers to Canada and international students with a study permit or visitor’s visa, who are considering enrolling in a Canadian post-secondary institution.
“As part of our Internationalization and Global Education Strategic Plan, the Toronto District School Board has committed to establish diverse academic pathways with domestic and international education providers,” said Omar Awara, TDSB International Recruitment Manager. “Signing this pathway agreement with triOS College is a significant step in our continuous endeavour to offer our domestic and international students diverse choices to further their education. The agreement establishes a seamless pathway for TDSB international students, who wish to enroll in triOS’ post-secondary programs.”
As per the agreement, TDSB adult learners who have completed their secondary school education in Canada or abroad, as well as the Grade 11 and 12 English courses offered through the TDSB, are eligible for admission to triOS. Through this pathway model, both domestic and international students are guided from their required high school education to the post-secondary institution that will equip them with the tools they need to become job-ready graduates.
