Primary Responsibility:

The main purpose of the Instructional Designer is to help support the ongoing operation of development of new and existing programs and courses delivered in the on-ground delivery in the College. The Instructional Designer also assists the Manager of Academic Services in the continuous improvement effort to ensure course quality standards are met, best practices are followed, and our courses and programs continue to improve while the learner and faculty experience improves. The Instructional Designer supports the department by working with Subject Matter Experts on new program and course design to build appropriate and relevant course material that aligns to the adult learning model. Focusing on the organization’s key objective to improve and maintain high quality and customer satisfaction, the Instructional Designer will contribute to the ongoing validation that the College’s admission and aptitude testing, learning outcomes and educational outcomes meet specific industry requirements through needs analysis, instructional design and employer/student feedback.

The Instructional Designer will support the vision, mission, and values of triOS College while contributing to a positive, supportive and student-focused team environment of respect, integrity, dedication and readiness; embracing diversity and fostering inclusion.

Qualifications:

  • Two (2) or more years of work experience as a course developer/instructional designer in a project-based environment.
  • Demonstrated people and coordination skills, with a customer-focused perspective and recognition of stakeholders.
  • Experience with page layout, content editing and formatting of Word documents.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of instructional design and course development processes.
  • Working knowledge of document and file management.
  • Prioritization and interpersonal skills to balance multiple demands.
  • Research, navigation and internet skills.

Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Hours of work will be 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday.

Start Date:

The contract dates for this opportunity are from August 2020 until June 2021.

Location:

The location of our Campus Support Centre is at 6755 Mississauga Road.
